Nice weekend, again.

I had to do this post again as I lost it somehow. All these darn buttons, and ahh technology! The following are pictures from the opening of Cuisine Art. The show will remain up until Aug 11th but in a different space as the Gallery is in the process of moving. Very exciting stuff! I am having a difficult time shuffling the photos into spots without losing them, so I will leave them like this.

Beautiful day, painting in my backyard today. Too nice to miss. I think an impressionisty type garden scene. Yes, that is a word, somewhere!

Get ready for an amazing week of painting

I am still recovering from an awesome week of learning with artist/educator Ivano Stocco. I can not believe the amount of information he shared with us as students in our one week course at the Wellington Museum. It was a journey from the Plein Air painting of the incredible grounds of the museum, to the streets of Elora and it's beautiful historic buildings and quaint village settings.
Despite the sizzling heat (35-40 some days) we were able to return to the air-conditioned comfort and wonderful set-up of the Wellington Museum Arts facility to complete our paintings and watch the amazing demos of our instructor. I was so impressed by the amount of new techniques that he demonstrated, I just hope I can put them all to good use. Getting out the palette knives and I can hardly wait to start painting this week!
